Description
18th century, Kangxi period, Qing dynasty. The narrow cylindrical brush pot decorated with underglaze blue to depict a bird sitting on a flowering peony branch beside a rock. Peony flowers finely painted to depict the 'heaped and piled' effect. Underglaze blue artemesia leaf to base. With a wooden stand. Approx. 4 7/8 by 2 in. diam., 12.5 by 5 cm. diam.
