1st-19th century AD. A mixed group comprising: seven bronze Roman brooches, various types; two London hammered silver pennies of Edward I; three bronze belt mounts; two conical lead weights; a lead plano-convex spindle whorl; a miniature pipeclay vessel; a bronze thimble; a lead rosette; a bronze roulette; a 14th century bronze buckle loop; a post-medieval buckle loop and strap; a discoid appliqué; a Tudor garment hook; a bronze trade token; a white metal eagle mount; a bronze disc pierced for use as a pendant; a silver finger ring with leaf-shaped bezel; a repoussé appliqué with openwork design of jousting knights; a hollow calcite belemnite fossil (probably from the Gault clays); a stone block with two smoothed surfaces. 564 grams total, 1.5 - 14cm (1/2 - 5 1/2").
