Wear It Proudly. Letters by... 1st Ed. Original cloth in Dust Jacket. 147pp. + combat map.
UC student and Berkeley resident Tsuchida escaped the Internment by enlisting in the Army the day after Pearl Harbor, becoming Medical Aid man in an Infantry regiment that fought in France, Germany and Austria. This collection of his wartime letters, the first by a Japanese-American in a "white" military unit, was the most scarce of a handful of early postwar books published by UC Press about the Japanese-American experience in World War II.
