This model shows a work from the second half of the 20th century. On a transverse oval wooden base with profiled wall, set a sculptural still life covered by a high glass case. On a starfish laterally arranged are 2 crayfish tails. In front of it set a large Chlamys islandica, above an Asteroidea crowned by an Agropecten purpuratus and a coral fan. The round shell of a crayfish and a small Cardiidae are shown on the reverse. Art and curiosities were understood as a mirror of the visible world, whose laws were going to be decrypted. An increasing interest in the flora and fauna of the seas began with the opening of sea routes. Bizarre shell forms, corals and shells of the maritime fauna in a decorative setting are represented in each collection.

The diorama is in good condition. The mass of the still life be 43 x 32 x 13.5 cm. The object measures with the base and the glass case 49.5 x 42.5 x 19.5 cm. (bed)
