Item Details

Description

A spectacular Morse Mark V diving helmet with original tinning, top view port and hinged faceplate. Exhaust is on the front side of the helmet with a banana tube affixed to the bonnet to exhaust the air to the rear. The helmet is also fitted with a “spitcock” so the diver could take in some water and spit it on the glass to clear fog. The helmet has matching numbers 6757 on the neck and brass brails. Twelve bolt collar. The Mark V was used by the Navy from 1916 until 1984.
