This is an autographed letter signed by English author Virginia Woolf (English, 1882 - 1941). Woolf was considered one of the most important modernist 20th-century authors and was an important part of London's literary and artistic society.
This letter was sent to English politician and economist Harold Laski (1893-1950) on the occasion of answering a dinner invitation. On embossed stationery for Monk's House, home of Virginia and her husband Leonard Woolf. Dated for October 24th, but does not detail the year.
