Description
An early 20th century gold diamond and split pearl fringe necklace. The central old-cut diamond and split pearl flower, with similarly-set floral links, to the belcher-link back-chain. Estimated diamond weight 0.85ct, I-J colour, P1 clarity. Length 45cms. Weight 22.6gms.
Condition
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. There are some areas of tarnishing to the belcher-links and dropsThe diamond bright, there are only minor inclusions, however the girdle of the diamond is significantly chipped. The split pearls vary in colour, some more white and others more cream and grey. There are blisters and blemishes visible to some. Some seed pearls are possible replacements. Seed pearls untested for natural origin. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
