An early 20th century gold ruby, seed pearl and diamond wreath brooch. The rose-cut diamond halo, with seed pearl trefoil detail, to the oval-shape ruby highlights. French assay marks. Length 2.6cms. Weight 5.6gms.

Overall condition good. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Light nicks and chips can be seen to some. Fine feathers and fractures can be seen under magnification. The rubies are a bright medium red colour, well saturated, with light to moderate abrasion and typical inclusions. The seed pearls light surface blemishes and minor nacre damage.
