Description
An early 20th century gold ruby, split pearl and diamond bar brooch. The cushion-shape ruby, split pearl and rose-cut diamond cluster, to the twin bar with split pearl stylised crown terminals. Length 4.8cms. Weight 5gms. With Nathan & Co. case.
Condition
  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.

  • Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Ruby is a moderately pinkish-red, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Ruby is in good condition with minor abrasions, few nibbles and nicks to surface and girdle.

  • Split pearls are well matched, creamy white colour, with rose and greenish overtones, in good condition minor abrasions.
