Ames Springfield" on one side and "United States - 1835" on the reverse; has a brass hilt with cross guard, fish scale grip and pommel with eagle & shield, serial number on teh guard 26714 and has inspectors marks "ORD.", "T.W." & "H.K.C.". Has a replaced black leather scabbard with brass ends; blade has a few dings in the edge with 1 chip. 25 in. overall sword length.
