The 4,664th classified Northwest African meteorite, also known as NWA 4664, was found in 2006 and around 30 kilograms of the variety have been retrieved from the associated strewnfield. While categorized as a diogenite, which are an abundant type of achondrite, specimens such as this excellent slice are a rarer polymict breccia type. An excellent piece for any collection, this exceptional slice measures 3 1/8 x 3 15/16 x 1/8 in. (height x width x depth) and weighs 0.13 pounds and features a beautiful cataclastic matrix of cream and dark gray with rust colored areas.
