Description
Rome, ca. 2nd / 3rd century CE. Ancient bronze Herakles (also known as Hercules) stands on integral base, depicted nude with strong musculature, resting his right hand on one end of his club, the other end beside his foot. The lion's skin hangs over the extended left arm, bent at the elbow. His hair and beard are depicted in short, thick curls. Size: 2-1/2"H.
