Description
A striped pale blue silk open robe, 1770s but altered in the 1840s, probably Spitalfields, woven with small floral repeats, bust approx 86cm, 34in Provenance: the late Harry Matthews
Condition
Construction is altered and dress has been washed, fabric is slightly faded overall due to washing but very pretty. 2.5cm split at base of rear skirt opening (minor). Couple of faint brown spot stains to front V waist.
