A FINE QUALITY LARGE JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD MIXED METAL INLAID BRONZE CENSER & COVER, unsigned, inlaid in gold, silver and copper, the cover finely modelled in the form of a winged cymbal-bearing samurai, his robes decorated with mon and phoenix, the globular inlaid censer supported by a pair of finely cast shi-shi in turn supported on an oval base, the base 10.75in wide x 7in at widest points, the censer with its cover 15in high overall.
