Culture: Pre-Columbian Classification: Mayan Copan, Honduras Western Region Date: 600 AD - 850 AD Size: 7 inches tall and 4 3/4 inches diameter Description: A ceramic fluted polychrome vase with a double register of glyph bands, one at top and one at bottom. Stone polished with a glassy surface. Several of the glyphs are number glyphs. Provenance: Stanley Harding Boggs ( Ohio , United States , 1910 - San Salvador , El Salvador , 1991 ) was an American archaeologist who worked and developed the archeology in El Salvador , and who is known as the Father of Archaeology Salvadoran.
