DOUBLE STAMPED "J. H. OWEN", NORTH CAROLINA EARTHENWARE VASE, lead-glazed, ovoid form with low collared rim, circular stamps under base. James Henry Owen (1866-1923), Moore Co. and Seagrove area. Circa 1920. 8" H, 4 5/8" D rim.
Provenance: Property of an Albemarle Co., VA lady.
Purchased by an ancestor of the current owner around 1920 from the Village Store in Greenwich Village, NYC operated by Juliana Busbee, co-owner of the Jugtown Pottery.
