Description
HIROSHIMA BLAST-FUSED COINS
Frightening group of about 25 bronze Japanese coins which were partially melted and fused together during the atomic blast at Hiroshima, Japan on August 6, 1945. The mass of coins, about 4" across, appears to have melted upon a surface of dirt or sand, possibly having been in a container or in clothing which instantly vaporized causing the coins to fall onto the ground before melting. They were at one time very lightly varnished in places to brink out a few highlights. This rare item has been consigned to us by a Japanese dealer/collector, the only individual who has provided us with any such blast-related relics in the past and whose items we fully guarantee.
