1st item: English ladies mahogany and satinwood inlaid portable writing desk, underside of lid with registration mark "Rd. 73368", fitted interior with fold-out writing surface and stationary compartments, 2 pull out drawers, porcelain tablet, 3 writing implements, 1 inkwell and a leather journal. Exterior with inlaid vine scrollwork and side drop brass pulls. 8"H x 13"W x 6 5/8"D. late 19th century. 2nd item: English hinged rosewood sewing box with green satin fitted interior tray. Exterior with domed lid and inset brass handle. 5 3/4"H x 12"W x 9"D. late 19th century. Provenance: Mary Beth Cranwell Montgomery Estate, Knoxville, TN.
