3 American hand stitched quilts. 1st item:Schoolhouse pattern quilt, red, blue and gold patterned squares on an ivory background with olive and tan borders,"Cedarhurst Fine Sheetings UR" printed on back. 73" x 65". 2nd item: Appliqued and embroidered star and block pattern quilt, calico appliqued stars alternating with embroidered ivory colored cotton blocks, 2 part construction, 82" x 65". 3rd item:Cotton star and block pattern quilt with appliqued dark blue calico stars alternating with rose calico blocks, 88" x 70". Late 19th to early 20th century. Provenance - Yates estate, Greeneville, Tennessee.

Condition

1st item: significant discoloration and staining, 19" machine stitched seam repair to back, binding reinforced. 2nd item: Several stains, up to 2" diameter. 3rd item: A few scattered stains, up to 2" diameter.
