Pre-Columbian, Panama, Coclé, Conte, ca. 600 to 800 CE. This polychrome jar has swirling geometric and zoomorphic designs. There may be an amphibian design in two of the panels. There is red and black banding around the neck, base, and rim of the jar. Size:

Condition
The artwork is clearly visible, although there are some signs of wear, particularly around the base and lower neck. There are no signs of the jar having been repaired, and there are no chips from the rim. There is a very minor surface chip on the lower base (below the artwork).
