Continental rectangular needlepoint tapestry textile panel, likely created in 19th century depicting a vase with S scroll handles on sides with pink floral still life with green leaves and stylized stems on mustard to gold ground contained within a hand carved and gilt wood frame with floral motif. Framed approximately 25.25" x 22". Sight size of tapestry approximately 18" x 14.5". Provenance: From the Estate of Henry G. Muecke Jr., Atlanta, Georgia.
Condition
Tapestry panel with separation to stitches and support and some scattered losses to thread. Light fading to textile colors. Frame with considerable repairs and breaks, substantial gilt losses and wood losses throughout.
