Hartmann Schedel (German, 1440-1514), Collection of two late 15th century Nuremberg Chronicle uncolored woodcut manuscript sheets, circa 1493 comprising of "Sexta Etas Mundi, Foliu CIIII" and "Sexta Etas Mundi, Folium CXLI". Foliu CIIII depicting Latin text discussing saints and martyrdom including St. James and St. Mark the Evangelist. Each sheet unframed approximately 18.5" x 12.9".
Note: The "Nuremberg Chronicle" also known as "Schedelsche Weltchronik" (translated in English to Schedel's World Chronicle) was published in 1493 in Latin with over 1800 woodcuts printed from over 640 woodblocks created by workshop of Michael Wolgemut (German, 1434-1519) who Albrecht Dürer (German, 1471-1528) apprenticed under as a young artist.
