Description
Pre-Columbian, southern Peru, Nazca to early Huari, ca 400 to 600 CE. A very strange little pottery cup! With rounded base, distinct corseted middle and flaring rim, painted in red, black, tan and brown with three designs along lower section that could be plant, or animal and could even be sexual in nature, with alternating color bands above and squiggles along the top. Size: 4-1/2"H (11,43cm).
