Description
The frame top looks like a Kelly with the small PRR stamping on the shoulder. The bell is probably a Kelly with the PRR stamping on one side. This lantern was liberated by somebody who banged down the PRR stampings. At some point somebody else worked hard to push that lettering back out. Solder was used to fill in the details of the restoration. It is not uncommon for thieves to pound out the original ownership details. The brass top is is very nice. The bell comes off easily. The frame metal is very nice.
The globe is a very nice extended base model by MacBeth and it has their #220 Pearl Glass hallmark etched above the unusual PRR etching. This is an unusual globe.
