Description
A George II silver salver, the circular body with raised pie-crust edge within a shell and scroll rim and standing on three hoof feet. Hallmarked Ebenezer Coker, London 1755. Diameter measuring 8 inches (20.5 cm), weight 10.7 ozt (335 grams).
Condition
The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Probable removal of an engraving to the main surface, this area feels thin and easily moved. Small holes worn through to the pie-crust rim. The hallmarks are clear and legible. Small personal inscription next to the hallmarks.
