Description
Round Footed Sterling Silver Tray, by silversmith Richard Rugg I, hallmarked for London 1759, having a shell and fleur de lis decorated rim and gadrooned edge, set on ball & claw feet, top surface with engraved family crest (similar to that of the Blaikley family), underside with engraved "S, G*M" monogram and affixed card noting that this tray belonged to Griffin (1720-84) and Mary (Blaikley) Stith of Northampton, VA, 11" diam., 23.86 ozt. Good condition.
