A late 19th century gold emerald heart-shape locket. The plain locket with central oval-shape emerald and reverse personal engraving, opening to reveal a photograph and arranged hair panel. Length 2.9cms. Weight 10.3gms.

Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Scratches and scuffs visible. Discolouration visible to the inner rim. Personal inscription reads Arthur 19 May. Emerald medium green, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and small scattered typical inclusions.
