Description
BRASS DOUBLE-ARM STUDENT LAMP, acorn-form reservoir and fonts, adjustable on central shaft terminating in a heart-form finial, weighted base. Fitted with period set-up comprising electrified slip burners with thumbwheels embossed "DAVIS COLLAMORE & CO LTD 5TH AVE AND 37TH ST. NEW YORK", shade rings, cased teal green umbrella-form ribbed shades with swirls and iridescent satin finish, and colorless slip chimneys. Fourth quarter 19th century. 24 1/2" HOA, 7" D base. Shades 6 3/8" H, 9 7/8" and 10" D fitters.

Condition
Brass elements in very good condition with expected minor wear and several very light dents, drilled hole for electrical cord in central sleeve, one shade ring with splits. Each burner lacking components, one shade with a 2 1/2" vertical crack off fitter and several broken bubbles to ribs, remaining shade with a polished small chip to top rim, one chimney fitter with a minute flake, remaining example undamaged.
