An Italian School, Old Masters painting depicting a priest delivering the Eucharist to awaiting people while in the foreground a man grieves over the figures of deceased children and adults, while Putti (or Cherubs) watch the scene from the heavens. No visible signature on the face but there is illegible writing on the stretcher bars. Canvas: 15.75"h x 12.75"w, Housed in an ornate carved and gessoed frame measuring: 24"h x 21"w x 4.25"d.

Some small areas of in painting evident, canvas does exhibit some small pin holes and wear but structurally sound and not brittle. Frame with some areas of repair to the edges and corners.
