Description
Neolithic, 3rd millennium BC. A ceramic vase with narrow base, biconical body, short tubular neck with everted rim, two loop handles to the equator; the upper body painted with linear chevrons in red and brown pigment, swags beneath and discoid panels with hatched grids. 2.6 kg, 27cm (10 1/2"). Private collection, North London; acquired in the early 1980s.
