A GROUP OF THREE ANTIQUE JAPANESE KUTANI WARES, EACH SIGNED, LATE MEIJI PERIOD (1868-1912), comprising a tripod shallow bowl form censer with a domed lid centering two double fan shaped reserves of polychrome painted flowering stems and branches, with exotic birds foraging amidst elaborate blossoming ground cover, partitioned by spread winged butterflies amongst green scrolling lingzhi, reversing to an interior with a single spread winged butterfly, fitted on a flat bottomed bowl form body with a broad flat rim decorated with triangular banded trim, above tapering sides having stylized flower details over three scrolling foliate modeled feet, bordering partially effaced overglaze iron red character marks, height: 5"; an Immortals painted bowl of traditional form and sides centering a tightly composed band of sages wearing traditional long robes and centering three examining a long opened scroll, enclosing similarly detailed interior sides surrounding a conforming reserve with heavily worn gilt long tail feathered bird, gilt highlights throughout, underside with overglaze red two character marks inscription, height: 3", diameter: 8"; a nicely painted bowl of traditional form with an interior rim border of palm frond and triple lozenge panels, above four variously shaped reserves depicting scenes from a dark samurai clan narrative, within a ground of stylized gilt clouds and shaped textile panels, enclosed by an exterior sides band of red crested cranes flying above marsh grasses, over a silver leaf stylized fretwork ring and conforming short foot framing six overglaze red character marks, height: 3 3/8"; diameter: 10 5/8".
