Offered is a stunningly beautiful "Queen of Roses" portrait painted on a Hutschenreuther porcelain plaque and signed "Wagner." Hutschenreuther porcelain factorywas the primary provider of blank porcelain pieces used by decorating studios throughout Germanyduring the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The back of the plaque is marked "311," which indicates it is 5" x 7" in size. The frame is 9-1/2" x 11-1/2"; and the protective shadow box they are mounted in is 11-1/2" x 13-1/2" x 2-1/8". From the look of the frame and its construction, it seems to be the original; it has two tiny chips, but they do not detract from the beauty of this painted-on-porcelain masterpiece.
