A Group of Ten Carved Rosewood Chairs Including six armchairs and four side chairs, each chair with a shaped top rail above an openwork back splat carved with various motifs including bats, dragons, double happiness characters, lingzhi fungus, leafy double gourds, pine trees, prunus, and a garden vignette. 19th Century Largest: 38 1/2 x 25 3/4 x 18 1/2 inches approximately Provenance:Private South Bay Estate Collection, acquired between 1960s to 1980s. [Cracks, shrinkage, small losses, wear, abrasions, one armrest braced with a screw]
