Emerson Radio
Marbleized red and white
Dimensions (height x length x depth): 10 in x 7 in x 5 in; 25.4 cm x 17.8 cm x 12.7 cm
Not tested for working order
From a collection of vintage radios which were featured in “Classic Plastic Radios of the 1930s and 1940s” by John Sideli
A beautifully marbleized red case is accented by the white louvered grille and knobs. This model was a modernized and an extremely successful update from its predecessor. The design relates to the earlier wooden Gothic-style radios. The BT 245 Cathedral radios are very rare and desirable in all colors, the rarest being blue.
The condition of this radio is consistent with age and wear. There is darkening to the white color. The backplate is missing. It has not been tested for working order. The dimensions (height x length x depth) are 10 in x 7 in x 5 in; 25.4 cm x 17.8 cm x 12.7 cm.
