An unusual and rare Antique Chinese Campaign Military Table in red and black lacquered pine dating to 1880 from Pingyao City in China. This Antique Chinese Campaign Table shows significant wear to the red and black lacquered finish and features a framed panel top with sword leg constructed round legs, which are meant to withstand a significant amount of weight and pressure. The unusual carved humpback stretcher support seems to resemble the hilt of a sword and adds significant character to this charming Antique Chinese Soldier's Table. Prior to the 1949 Revolution, this Antique Chinese Military Table would have been used by a military officer in his personal tent quarters in order to spread out maps or write letters. The table collapses completely for ease of transport, making this Antique Chinese Campaign a great conversation piece for any room in your home!

There is wood separation to a support on the underside which is not a structural issue. The piece has been restored and there are several paint drops and a ring on the top surface which add character.
