Description
Pre-Columbian, Peru, Chimu for the pot, the snake is of unknown culture, ca. 900 to 1200 CE. A precious pairing of two ceramic miniatures, the first a snake effigy coiled in a form that manifests holes at each side for suspension, the second a blackware footed globular jar with five raised knobs on the body. Size: snake effigy 2-1/5"L (5.6 cm); jar 1-1/4" x 1-1/2" (3.2 x 3.8 cm).
