Description
Chinese, likely 20th century. Double handled bronze and champleve enameled vase with flared rim at top above repeating diaper patterned hexagonal band with two serpent or dragon head hands sloping down to body, vase with zodiac symbols in band at bottom of neck, two bands of champleve enamel work depicting phoenix birds, flowers, lotus blossoms and leaves against blue leaves. Unmarked. Approximate height 10.75", diameter of rim 5.125", diameter of foot 5". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Benno & Babette Rothschild, Columbus, Georgia.
