Description

The name Delaware and Hudson Railroad is spelled out on this large 2 1/4" by 2 3/4" brass baggage tag. It has an unusual manufacturer: Ansonia Brass & Copper Company from Ansonia, Connecicut. This name was part of the larger Ansonia Clock Company for a number of years. The clock company and brass milling operation were eventually separated from each other. The hallmark and all stamping is clear. The tag has rounded top corners and clipped base corners. It is single sided and thick. This style fo tag required another tag with serial number and routing information.
