Description
Description: Decoy Canadian Goose with nicely-carved head and finely-painted body in the Harve De Grace, Upper Chesapeake Bay style.
History: R. Madison Mitchell (1901-1993) had a meticulous eye for detail. This attention to detail may have come from his original profession as a mortician. Mitchell decoys are very lifelike, with realistic features including painted eyes, realistic body positioning and are recognized by his intricate carving style.
