Description
Description: This is a miniature version of a magistrate's tipstaff. It's made of ebonized wood with silver ends and nameplate. The bottom is a seal of the city of Glasgow, Scotland which reads, "Let Glasgow Flourish." The top is a crown with fabric details inside.
History: The first seal on which all the emblems are represented together is that of the Chapter of Glasgow used from 1488-1540, but it was not until 1647 that they appeared in something like their present combination on a seal. The city motto "Let Glasgow Flourish".

The wood has two small checks. The tipstaff has some wear to the fabric. Silver has a small amount of tarnish with a few small scratches.
