Description: World War II era Austrian Fireman's helmet made from aluminum. Painted black with a polished aluminum protective "crown". Liner is leather and adjustable. Inner dome is complete with a head cushion and adjustable chin strap. The front of the helmet has a town or city crest in the shape of a crowned shield with one half portraying a Lion Passant on a gold field and the other with the Red and White Austrian colors. Size is a European 52.
History: Fireman's helmets are worn to protect the individual while combating fire. The helmet being made from different materials over the course of time. Some early styles being made of leather, aluminum, or steel.
