Description
Chinese, Qing Dynasty Qianlong Period mark (1736-1795), 20th century. A large Bangchuiping porcelain vase with intricate figural scene painted to body depicting many young and beautiful courtly women visiting in a courtyard with tiled roof structure to background, the scene continued to back of jar with a low blue fence surrounded by trees and topped by many lines of black calligraphic marks flanked by many red seal marks, the vase foot, shoulder, and rim with bands of iron red scrolls and ruyi heads. Underside with iron red four character Chien Lung imperial reign mark. Approximate height 22.75", diameter 11".
