A Louis XV carved oak marriage or wedding armoire having a rounded rectangular molded cornice over a floral carved frieze centered with a pair of love birds flanking a egg filled nest above two double fielded panel doors headed with carved floral filled cornucopia, and centered with musical trophy and torch en flambeaux with decorative brass escutcheons and long brass fiche hinges, flanked by fluted stiles and fielded panel sides, on front leafy squat cabriole legs with scrolled toes, joined by a scallop shell and foliate carved serpentine skirt. Approximate height 96.5", width 53.25", depth 23".
