Description
A Near Eastern bronze pin terminal with 'Master of Animals', c. 1000 - 600 BC, featuring a facing male hero standing between two rampant horses, their tails curled over their backs. He wears an elaborate headdress, a lion cloth and a girdle. The scene is set within a square bordered, the base of the pin with five parallel ridges. H: 3 in (7.6cm), W: 1 4/5 in (4.6cm). Nice glossy olive green patina. Ex collection of Arthur L. Jacobs, New York.
