This piece is very dirty. The canvas is loose and there is cracking overall. There is a curved scratch that extends 6 inches and barely penetrates the canvas. There are numerous vertical retouches in the grass on the lower left and on the reeds in the lower right. There is minor retouching beneath and behind the horse. There is much retouching in the dark upper background.
