Provenance: From the Library of the Henry C. Gibson house, 1612 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA circa 1870; demolished 1928. For an illustration of this lot, please refer to page 67 of the book, The Opulent Interiors of the Gilded Age. Consigned by Robert Lockyer, stepson of John W. Merriam.
