Description
Southeastern Italy, ca. 4th century BCE. Very attractive pottery kyathos - a dipper that is characteristically Daunian - with bulbous base, flat rim and wide strap handle. Vessel painted in deep brown over biff in repeating geometric patterns. A very attractive example! Size: 5.5" W x 6" H (14 cm x 15.2 cm)
Provenance: Ex: Porter collection, Chicago, IL acquired in the 1960's.
