Ancient (circa 1450 A.D.) Buddha head from the ruins of Ayutthaya, Thailand. Ayutthaya, also spelled "Ayudhya", was the capital city of the Kingdom of Siam, and a prosperous international trading port, from 1350 until razed by the Burmese in 1767.
Buddha head is mounted on a wooden plinth, with brass plaque that reads: Stone Buddha Head Ayuthia Period 1450 A.D. Thailand
