Item Details

Description

Spanish, 18th century. A Spanish colonial period joined walnut carved friars, monk or throne chair having a hide upholstered back and seat set with sizeable studs, the back uprights with leaf-carved scroll finials joined to the flat open arms on square supports united by a front paneled and rosette carved front and side stretchers terminating in a shoe foot type base with incised detail. Approximate height 49", width 29.75", seat depth 16", seat height 19".
