Description
GEORGE III STERLING SAUCE BOAT, LONDON, 1760-61, L 7":An oblong sterling silver sauce boat with scalloped rim and scroll handle, raised on three shell and pad feet. Hallmarks include a lion passant, crowned leopard, date letter Gothic E, and maker's mark "WC" enclosed (see additional photo), probably for William Cripps. Measures H.4 1/4" to the handle, L.7" overall. Weighs approximately 7.20 troy oz.
